CARPENTIER (Georges, 1894-1975, French World Champion Boxer)

Carpentier carried off the French national and European titles in four classes - light middle weight, middle weight, light heavy weight, heavy weight - and became world champion light heavy weight in 1920 by knocking out the American Levinsky. He was beaten by Jack Dempsey in 1921.
