Pepper, who 'celebrated' his own retirement from the B.B.C., with a complete nervous breakdown ... I sincerely hope it may be possible", and suggesting "say, March 16th ... Perhaps you will be kind enough to write to me again at the beginning of next year ... My fee is twenty guineas, plus expenses", 2 sides 8vo., 2 Compton House, Devonshire Street, W.1, 12th May neat filing holes in left margin with loss of two letters on verso (easily supplied)
