COMMEMORATIVE JUG FOR THE ACCESSION IN 1837 [VICTORIA (1819-1901, Queen of Great Britain)]

Enormous Commemorative Saltglaze Jug finely moulded and elaborately designed, on one side is the young Queen, head and shoulders, in profile, on the other is her mother Mary Adelaide, nearly full face, both portraits are surrounded by garlands and the top of the jug is decorated with flowers, on the front is the Lion and Unicorn, 10 inches high, the handle has been professionally repaired at some time

An extraordinary and rare commemorative. The jug is most unusually large and it is also uncommon to find commemoratives which not only show the young Queen but also her mother.
