"Edward Jenkins one of his Majesty's Messengers in ordinary to the Rt Honble Robert Walpole Chancellor & under Treasurer of his Majesty's Exchequer craves allowance for his pains and travelling charges in attending to the several places and any journeys following ..." there are then 4 sides of listings of journeys with the dates "1723 March 30 from Londn to Chelsea ... apr ye 6 from Londn to Chelsea ... 20 from Chelsea to Greenwich returned to Chelsea ... June ye 9 from Chelsea to Richmond, retd to Chelsea ...", on the final sheet on 16th October Walpole has written "My Ld Halifax, Pray Rate & Pay this Bill" and signed it, with further certificates and authorities and a receipt signed by Edward Jenkins for the sum of £65. 15s on 16th November, 4 sides folio,
