Christmas card signed and inscribed, "Accept my best wishes for the coming New Year from your affectionate Charlotte" with the date and on the verso "For dearest Nanny", with a design of pink and white roses, 6¾" x 4", no place, 1st January

The Princess was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. The recipient is Mrs Wakelin, who was nanny to the children of Frederick III and the Empress, for many years.
