THACKERAY (Anne Isabella, 1837-1919, from 1877 Lady Ritchie, Novelist, daughter of William Makepeace Thackeray)

Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Synnol, telling her that she "went yesterday and liked the matron very much indeed. I do feel so ashamed of never having done anything to help you, but now I hear Miss Guyiot[?] is gone abroad, & if you will accept me as a helper, I shall try and do what I can. First of all I think we ought to have cards printed, if possible with a little map on the back as the district is puzzling ... I will write to Mr Flowers ... today for a map of the place to get printed on my cards & shall we meet once a fortnight . Could you spare the time? ...", 4 sides sm. 8vo., 8 Southwell Gardens, South Kensington, 16th December no year
