Would I be right in saying in my note that you took up painting 'at a mature age'? You always seemed so active & youthful in your outlook! Unfortunately Christine has been ordered to rest ...You, I take it, are heading for a Diamond Jubilee ... I often think of the old days at Bigwood and have been in touch with Bill & Honor lately. I hope you still paint. I ... have just started work again. There's no entire rest for an artist! ...", 2 sides 8vo., Bottengoms Farm, Wormingford, Essex, 29th May
