With regard to the dedication", he explains that signing a proof "for so & so indicates a gift" which he is anxious to keep separate "from prints purchased from the edition", he would prefer like a grocer to "throw in something as a 'make weight' at some future time, when you feel you can do with another print", to mark his appreciation "of your charming enthusiasm", 1 side 9" x 7", Oxenbridge Cottage, Iden, Sussex, no date but 1925 -
