HERCULES (Steam Engine)

Delightful lithograph in colours showing the 2-2-2 locomotive and tender hauling a coach and part of the next, about to halt at a country station, passengers are leaning out of the windows with excitement and a man is sitting on the roof of the second carriage waving his hat, "Tintorette printing" by Dean & Son, Threadneedle Street, the circular image 6¼ inches across, no date, circa laid down on sheet 12" x 9½", some stains and small areas of damage to the sky

Autograph Letter Signed to Alfred Ellis, (1821-1879, second son of John Ellis, Chairman of the Midland Railway), of Belgrave, Leicestershire, wishing he "had received your Letter a few days ago as I killed a very fine Roebuck which I should have had great pleasure in sending", if he can find another "you shall have it in Exchange for the 'Owl' ... I never shoot them, tho' I fear I drove them away ... when I made my new Buildings" and suggesting he get the roebuck "stuffed at Perth, as there is a man there who well understands it ... as Boxes are sometimes long on the Road. I think you will get well through the Meeting notwithstanding the article in the Mercury", with a P.S.
