ELIZABETH (The Queen Mother, 1900-2002, Queen of George VI)

Fine Autograph Letter Signed with initials to the Rev. F. J. Stone (Dean at Windsor) saying that they were “so distressed to hear of the attack made by our dogs on your poor little dog the other day and do hope that it will recover very soon. It is so awful when dogs fall out, and especially where damage is done, and we really are terribly disturbed about it all, and do want you to know how deeply we regret it. I do hope that all will be well with the poor sufferer - please let us know, & forgive our naughty dogs who had always behaved like angels up till now. We are longing to get back to Royal Lodge...” 2 sides 8vo., with original autograph envelope signed with initials, 145 Piccadilly, 9th December

Fine Autograph Letter Signed to the Rev. F. J. Stone (Dean at Windsor) thanking him for his suggestion of "giving our eldest daughter a bookplate. I cannot imagine a more delightful and charming present, and I know that she will be very pleased at owning such a grown up possession! The specimens of your nephew's work that you enclosed, (and which I return) are quite enchanting. So clean and individual - I shall envy my daughter such an artistic design as I am sure it will be.
