Delightful Imperial cabinet photo by Downey, signed and inscribed on a card which she has attached to the photo and dated on the photo,
the inscription is "For dear Milly from Alexandra" and the image shows the Queen with her grandchildren – the daughters of the Duchess of Fife, Alexandra and Maud, she is seated on a sofa and the girls are wearing white frilly dresses and draped around her lap, 12½" x 7½", no place, Xmas
the mount has been trimmed on the bottom edge obscuring the photographer's name but enough remains to identify it
