Fine menu for dinner at Windsor Castle - "Her Majesty's Dinner"
listing the courses in French - starting with "Mulligatawny - Ala Royale" followed by the fish course of trout and Eperlan (a cousin of salmon) then the entrees which include Lamb, Veal and Beef served in various ways and finally Quail, there is also a side table with cold meats, 1 side 8vo with a coloured vignette of Windsor at the head with the Queen's monogram on either side and a blue and gold border around the whole thing, Windsor, 4th March

following the State Banquet in honour of her son Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, and Marie, second daughter of Alexander II of Russia, after their return from their wedding on 23rd January in St Petersburg, printed in gold, silver, red and blue, in a blind-embossed gothic lined frame of flower and leaf ornaments, partly pierced, displaying a fine royal arms with supporters and mottoes, and, in gold and silver repeated left and right, M[arie] A[lexandrovna] under a Princess's coronet with a Russian crown in front, the music includes 'The Duchess of Edinburgh's March' by W.G. Cusins (1833-1893, from 1870 Master of the Queen's Musick, knighted 1892), a fantasia from Glinka's Kamarinskaya, and the Entracte and Epithalamium from Lohengrin, printed by Ortner & Houle, (Heraldic Engravers to the Queen), 3 St James's Street, S.W., 1 side 4to and conjugate blank, (State Drawing Room), Windsor Castle, for Monday Evening, 9th March
