Long Autograph Letter Signed to Edward Arthur Barry, (1858-1949, from 1907 2nd Baronet), regretting she has missed him "by a few minutes" but thanking him for his "most kind letter ... I am so pleased the work I am engaged upon gave you any satisfaction ... I would like to have it reproduced half the size, as several people have asked me to have it done, but fear it would be rather costly", promising him "one of the first photographs", she "seemed so ungrateful for your letter and interesting drawing of South Wraxhall Manor House", near Bradford upon Avon, "I can imagine the stonework must be very lovely in colour ... Is it to be let or sold?",
she has seen "Westwood ... a charming old place turned into a farm house near Bath", and hopes "to go about next week to see some places" but "the stay at Harrogate did not agree with me, and my right arm being so bad, is the reason I did not write before", about his boy, "I know there are some very clever men you could consult ... and I will send you their names and address", ending "I should much like to see your improvements & additions at Ockwells", with a P.S. saying "The damp of this house has got into my writing paper therefore please excuse the blotty condition", 9 sides 8vo and autograph envelope, Kensington Palace, 6th October
