The smoothing stone ... is usually called ki-garga, ki being a diminutive ... when the smallness rather than the 'stoneness' is being emphasised. The word you understood to mean skin is a phonetic impossibility", Brown has written it as 'ng'ingo' , he is arranging to send "a full set of pot-making tools" and asks, "Would you be interested in specimens of Samoan culture? ...
