PLOMLEY (Roy, d. 1985, Broadcaster, Presenter of 'Desert Island Discs' for 40 years)

Collection of 5 Typed Letter Signed to Harold Chipp of the Cheltenham Gramophone Society, arranging as a lecture-recital a Desert Island Discs in reverse, "there will be one or two rather rare discs ... to start in the middle ... do you also have ... 7½ speed tape?" and sending his photograph (6th August), "I'll bring the discs as well ... and be guided by you" (21st September), sending "a rough layout ... with the main questions" for "the gentleman who will be doing the interviewing" (25th October), saying "how very much I enjoyed my visit ... and the warm welcome" and asking for any press clipping (4th November), and thanking him for the cutting, "I'm delighted to hear we broke a record!"
