(Sir William, 1843-1923, Carpet Manufacturer, Philanthropist & Lord Mayor of London) starting with a pen and ink sketch of the profile of a man smoking a cigarette, he thanks him for his cheque and tells him he is “going down to town and will call at the Sketch Offices for the drawings and hope to let you have them by Saturday. I am to be in the Chair at the Savage... and hope you will be there. The Lord Chief Justice has promised to come and Frank Lockwood.
