Attractive bond signed, part Latin with translation, part English, for the performance of the covenants in an Indenture of the same date [not present], saying that he "the son and heir of Richard Richardson late of Newell ... gentleman, deceased, am ... firmly bound to William Richardson senior of High Ferneley in Wike in the said County, gentleman, in the sum of £1,960 of good and lawful money of England", then in English "The Condicion of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Wiiliam Richardson ... his heires executors & administrators & every one of them shall ... well & truly ... performe ... all & singular the Covenants ... specified in one paire of Indentures of release beareing date with the obligacion above written" between the same parties "then the abovewritten obligacion to bee voyd & of none effect or else the same to be & remaine in full force", witnessed by John and William Rookes and John Sugden, two sixpenny stamps, attractive seal of a heart pierced by two arrows, vellum, 1 side 10½" x 7¾", title on verso, no place, 7th August

RICHARDSON (Revd John, Chaplain of St. Mary's Hopital, Ilford 1869-1882)

Autograph letter signed, to the Revd A.P. Moor, M.A., F.R.G.S., saying "Mr Murray", the publisher, "duly forwarded your letter to my house", explaining that he has been away, but thanking him "for your kindness in pointing out ... certain errors & misprints in my Manual of Modern Geography", he is glad to say that he had discovered most, but "the two which had alluded [sic] all my vigilance" will be corrected in the new edition "with cordial thanks for your friendly interest", 2 sides 8vo, Ilford, Essex, 21st May
