Commemorative Diamond Jubilee mug, in red white and blue enamel, one side shows a portrait of the Queen as a young woman on her accession in 1837 and the other shows the elderly Queen in 1897, with gold rim and decoration, 4 inches high, some very small chips on the edge but in exceptionally good condition

Commission Document with her bold signature at the top, beginning with the Queen's titles, appointing James Charles Cavendish, (1838-1918, grandson of the 7th Duke of Devonshire), Lieutenant in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, as from 1st August 1855, signed also by Major-General Jonathan Peel(1799-1879, M.P., brother of the Prime Minister, Secretary for War, 1858 and 1866 under Lord Derby) and by J.W. Stocks, revenue stamp and papered seal of Queen Victoria, engraved with manuscript details, manuscript title on verso, 1 side 9½" x 14" on stout linen paper, Court at Windsor, 21st August two folds neatly strengthened on verso

But what she values far more, is their appreciation of her adored and perfect Husband, to whom she, and the country, owe everything", referring to "the constant sense of his unseen presence", also to the accompanying "Reading Desk", which will "ever be kept by the Queen and her children", 4 sides 8vo. and envelope, "Windsor Castle", 19th December
