Exceptional Autograph Letter Signed (George) to "My dear Christian" (Lieutenant Arthur H. Christian R.N.)
thanking him for his letter telling him that he had "found my poor brother's 'Watch Bill' which he gave you on leaving the 'Bacchante'. I showed your letter to my mother who was very much touched by your thinking of her & offering her the book. She wishes me to thank you for your very kind thought and to say that she would very much like to have the book to keep with all the other things which belonged to him in his room, if you can spare it ..." he goes on to hope that he "enjoyed your Commission in Australia. I often think of the old 'Bacchante' days, what many changes have taken place since then. It is indeed a long time since we met ..." and promising to get the book to his mother, 4 sides 8vo., with original intact envelope signed with initial 'G', York House headed paper, 28th February
