Marvellous Autograph Letter in pencil signed with his intimate family name 'David' to his brother "My dear old Harry" HENRY, Duke of Gloucester (1900-1974, Uncle of Elizabeth II), saying he would "have loved to have been able to come down & inspect you ... but there is a bloody memorial service for overseas troops at Noon so I'm afraid I cant manage it tho I promise to one day ..." he continues "Now as regards the pony; yes I'll give him to you as I see you are very keen on polo & I know its quite impossible to play with one pony & that Papa wont give you a 2nd one!! So you can clinch with Thompson ... I'll let you have the £100 ... Bertie & I will fix up a theatre party for you that night ... Not a word that I'm giving you the pony!! Pair of Unsigned Photographs, showing him full length, in the first the Duke is taking a powerful swing with his golf club, which at this moment is over his right shoulder, left knee raised accordingly, quite an 'action' photograph, in the other he is bending over having just taken a careful putt, each 6" x 4½", the palm trees, the sun and the onlookers suggest the Bahamas, no date, circa a few white spots in the second picture, away from the main subject
