PUGIN-36952-1.jpg
PUGIN (Augustus Charles, 1762-1832, Anglo-French Artist, Architectural Draughtsman and writer on Medieval Architecture)

Autograph Letter signed to J. B. Neale about the progress of a sketch, "Being able now to ascertain the time your drawing of Hy 7th Chapel will take in finishing I think it proper to inform you that if I was to charge you by time it would amount to 15 guineas but considering it is too high I intend to charge you 10 guineas, half to be paid on delivery of the drawing the other to go to accounts. I should have left the whole to go to account but having been obliged to put aside other things I find myself under the necessity of doing so. I shall set off for Paris on Thursday ... and hope having the pleasure of seeing you ... because should you not approve of the drawing you are perfectly at liberty not to take it. Every one of my pupils are coming with me to France ...", 2 sides 4to., 34 Store Street, Bedford Square, 13th August
