Purveyor of Lands to the Ordnance, & Storekeeper of Dover Castle is at the point of death ... it would be of great weight for my interest in the Town, if ... Mr Russell could obtain one or other of those Employments, & I believe my Father", Lord Hardwick, "will join with me in Solliciting your favor & Protection ... Document signed as Ambassador to the United Provinces, certifying "that Mademoiselle Gerardina ... daughter of Henrik Van der Dussen and Baletta Elizabeth Van Huls is actually alive", signed also by George Maddison, and in London by Francis MASÈRES, (1731-1824), Cursitor Baron of the Exchequer, who writes that "upon the Oath of John Bern.d Descous" the certificate appears to be true, with Yorke's seal, 1 side 4to., The Hague, 9th January and 10th April old tear mended with old paper without loss, remains of guard on blank verso
