Fine passport document signed printed in French with the details filled in by hand, made out for Alexander Gibbon and his wife to travel on the Continent with a courier, Louis Mayer and their servants, 1 side folio with fine engraved vignettes at the head and foot, London, 18th May 1840 tipped into the leather bound passport with the written dates of entries and exits with the customs stamps, the first one is Frankfurt on 16th July, Stuttgart on the 31st, then Munich, Innsbruck, Florence, Venice, Parma, Tuscany, Rome, Naples, Torin and Dieppe and many more, 28 pages are stamped on both sides with blanks at the end, the last entry is Dieppe on the 9th June
