Transfer to Captain Humphrey Saunders of "all my Eight Bills and Interest in this order [not present] & the Tally thereto belonging", witnessed by J Fox and Samuel Cook, the order referring to a loan to the Exchequer of £300 in 1710, below are extracts from the Exchequer Records (with copy signatures of Tellers Mr Smith and Lord William Powlett) giving the interest paid at £4 10s per quarter "Out of Candles", that is, the tax on Candles, or "Out of the 16th 4 s[hilling] Ayd" to the King, due on three separate dates March 1714 - June 1716, title on verso "Candles 1710 £300" with a note of £28 6s 7d interest outstanding, 1 side 5¼" x 9¼", no place, 31st December
