Manchego Herrera as Ambassador, received "in the solemn audience we accorded him on the 2nd December 1949", welcoming him, not doubting that the new Ambassador, with his talents and zeal, "will contribute in large measure towards maintaining and consolidating the good relations which so happily unite the two Countries", the Confederation will strive likewise, and ending by commending "you with us to the protection of the Almighty", signed also by Oskar Leimgruber, (1886-1976, Chancellor 1944-1951), headed by the Swiss arms against a snowy mountain, 2 conjugate sides 11¾" x 8¼", Berne, 12th December two neat filing holes in blank margin
