Beautifully Printed Menu of the Luncheon given by the Corporation of London in their honour,
(Sir Seymour Howard, 1886-1967, Lord Mayor), with the names of the reception committee, the music by the Royal Artillery Orchestra begins with Candiolo's March Lisbona and ends with Vaughan Williams's Sea Songs, the wines include 1927 and 1935 port, there is also an account of Guildhall, rebuilt after the fire of 1940, its stone vaulting replacing the hammerbeam roof and with new stained glass windows, with the City's Arms, the Portuguese Flag, a Globe and early Ship commemorating the Portuguese explorers on the front cover, tasselled cord in green and red, printed by Raphael Tuck & Sons, 7 sides and covers 11¼" x 8¼", Guildhall, London, 26th October
some extremely light spotting on covers and extremely light partial vertical fold, trace of a former corner fold on back cover
