Bicknell of Clapham Common, saying that following "various meetings ... at Marlborough House" the Commission has written to Artists "to suggest suitable works" to represent "the Fine Arts of this Country", and asking if he will lend "2 Eastern Studies" by F. Lithographed impression of his Achievement of Arms as Prince of Wales,
apparently following his investiture with the Garter on 9th November 1858, a fine design complete with both crests, mantling, crown, helm and motto, the Lion, the Unicorn, and the Arms of Great Britain bearing the escutcheon of Saxony and surrounded by the Garter, are differenced with the Prince's label, with an original pen-and-ink drawing of his Lion Crest as in the arms above, marked p[ro]p[e]r, or and arg[ent] as appropriate, titled 'Crest of the Prince of Wales' in a contemporary hand below, 1¼" x 1¼" on piece 6" x 4½" and conjugate blank, the full arms 3¼" x 3¼" on piece 5¼" x 6¼", no place, no date, circa
