Long Autograph Letter Signed to  Lady MACDONNELL  (wife of Sir Hugh Guion, 1832-1904, soldier and diplomatist, Britsh Ambassador to Denmark, at the time of this letter he was Ambassador to Portugal) telling her about the death of his brother Prince WILLIAM of Glucksburg (1816-1893), thanking her for her letter of condolence "in remembrance of my dear and lamented William's death. We were prepared to see him leaving this world, having been ill the most of last winter ... we saw him in very bad health returning to Bernstorff. Never inclined to follow what physicians proposes, he took with us here to Fredensborg, was obliged to stay in bed, and in ten days he attained what he wished, to go from here and enter into a better life. Everybody regrets his death ... It was so happy the King once again has his daughters here who did and and do all to relief him in his sorrow! ..." continuing at length with good wishes towards her and her family and remembering them all fondly, 3 sides 8vo., Fredensborg, 18th September
