Fine large Agreement between the Metropolitan Board of Works,
the Mayor & Corporation of London (as Governors of St Thomas's Hospital), the Archbishop of Canterbury (Charles Thomas Longley) and the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, the Board owned land by the Albert Embankment and wished to create a 60 foot carriage way 'Palace New Road' (now Lambeth Palace Road), involving a realignment of Lambeth Palace Wall, included are a map showing land belonging to or to be transferred to St Thomas's (green, blue and red), or by the Archbishop to the Board (yellow), and the fine architectural drawings of the proposed wall, detailing the patterns in the brick courses and the gothic railings above, complete with the large papered seals of the four parties, the agreement on vellum, the drawings on a strong linen paper, three sheets 22½" x 28¾", London, 15th January
