Maria in Cosmedin in Naples, that Michele di Lauro, son of the late Giuseppe of the Diocese of Gaeta, resided in Naples "from infancy till the year 1836 ... being free from all impediment and matrimonial bond, and in other respects not prohibited by law from contracting ... marriage", printed with manuscript additions, heading with the Archbishop's titles, his cardinal's hat in red with his arms below, blind papered seal of his Court and stamp of his Archives, signatures include Pro-Archivist Maria Ruffo, V.C. for the performance of the covenants in an Indenture of the same date [not present], saying that he "the son and heir of Richard Richardson late of Newell ... gentleman, deceased, am ... firmly bound to William Richardson senior of High Ferneley in Wike in the said County, gentleman, in the sum of £1,960 of good and lawful money of England", then in English "The Condicion of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Wiiliam Richardson ... his heires executors & administrators & every one of them shall ... well & truly ... performe ... all & singular the Covenants ... specified in one paire of Indentures of release beareing date with the obligacion above written" between the same parties "then the abovewritten obligacion to bee voyd & of none effect or else the same to be & remaine in full force", witnessed by John and William Rookes and John Sugden, two sixpenny stamps, attractive seal of a heart pierced by two arrows, vellum, 1 side 10½" x 7¾", title on verso, no place, 7th August
