BITTER SWEET SHOULD NOT "BE MASSACRED AGAIN"
COWARD
(Sir Noël, 1899-1973, Actor, Composer & Dramatist)
Fine Typed Letter Signed to 'Dear Michael'
saying that he quite sees "your point of view about BITTER SWEET. I had a long talk about the same thing with Bob Rubin in New York. The reason I am so keen to hang on to my veto is that BITTER SWEET, having been massacred once by the films, should not I feel be massacred again. Unfortunately I was away in the East the last time it was done and I could not prevent them mis-casting and ruining my story. Sometime during my rehearsal period ... we might have a snappy little lunch and discuss the whole business ...", 1 side 4to., 1 Burton Mews headed paper, 10th January
some damage to the top edge not affecting the text
