from his lease of 6th March 1617, as guardian of his brother David, to Jean Beringier of Le Buis, "Royal Sergeant of the Dauphiné", auctioned "at the Étang de Chandolle by Poullot Mourgue, Sworn Crier of Le Buis", and renting David's share of "the grange, surrounding vineyard and orchard ... in the district ['mandement'] of ... THE GRAND JUNCTION CANAL
Outraged Autograph Letter Signed by R. Hill to Mr Shepherd in Dean Street,
asking why he is “to receive such repeated messages from Mr Walsh and his insulting solicitor. They know my determination to abide by Sir Saml Romilly’s opinion and why shd I be again asked about Count Rice? He is a poor Moravian Minister now at Bristol with the mere German title of Count but this is nothing to me I must act as the law directs. I have had a full account from poor Prowse by what means he was prevaild upon to renounce his small remuneration after a deal of trouble of his small share in the Grand Junction Canal. By this I am directed to say I will see all the Dunces before I give up the donations which the law demands I sh. pay to them. If this does not please Mr Walsh let him throw it into chancery as soon as he likes. The threats of Mr Rosser I treat with the most perfect contempt...”, 4 sides 8vo., Surry, Friday no date
