I am sure they made the whole difference to the day”, 1st July, his Investiture at Caernarfon Castle, “which fortunately went very well”, he is now “on the last day of my progress through Wales - rather like the medieval type - and spend the whole day in Cardiff... I shall always look back with the greatest of happiness at those days... on the Birkhall water. He was always such an indefatigable optimist and would never doubt that we might catch a fish during the day!
