Finely penned Document signed, in Italian with translation, with autograph subscription, to his Majesty the King of the Two Sicilies FERDINAND II (1810-1859, King of the Two Sicilies from 1830 until his early death in 1859) informing him of "the new and terrible disaster I fulfil the sad office of notifying it to Your Majesty! My beloved Consort, Her Majesty Queen Maria Adelaide of Sardinia, Archduchess of Austria, rendered her kind soul to God on the evening of the 12th of this month after a brief but cruel illness occurred after the first days of her puerperium. May Your Majesty understand in what desolation I am left by the loss of a bride who, with her sweet manners and her angelic virtue formed my joy, the happiness of the family and the admiration of the whole nation ...", countersigned at the foot by CAVOUR, 1 side folio, with original envelope, Turin, 30th January

Fine Music Programme, under the direction of Cav. Andrea Mayer, with a very fine outdoor scene in full colours by C.B. Conti, of people in 18th century dress, showing a young lady being introduced and curtseying to her hostess, with other guests and musicians behind, lake, parkland and mountain beyond, in an elaborate rococo gilt frame, above is a crowned FERT (motto of the Order of the Annunciation, 1362), the music, opening with a Military March by Mayer & Fedi, includes Sinfonias and other pieces from Italian opera, and ends with Carosio's march Ruwenzori, 2 sides 8vo. in covers held by cord and tassel, Turin, 11th May

Fine Supper Menu, in Italian, beautifully printed in colours, on a silver background decorated with sprays and circles, framed by parallel gold lines, above are two putti, with behind them a trailing garland and a variation of the King's personal arms, Savoy on the Austrian eagle (here gold, not black), gilt crown at top, the dishes include Consommé, Sandwiches, Rhine Salmon, Roast Capon, and Baba with Madeira, 1 side 8vo., Rome, 24th January bottom right corner defective within backgound, edges a little worn in a few places

Finely penned document signed, in Italian with translation, to the President of Peru, (Guillermo Billinghurst, 1851-1915, President 1912-1914), informing him "of the death of Our most dear Forebear", his mother's mother "Her Royal Highness the Princess Maria Elisabetta Massimiliana of Saxony, Dowager Duchess of Genoa, widow of His Royal Highness Prince Ferdinand of Savoy, ... who died at Stresa last 14th August", he is sure "You would wish to share in the deep affliction which this sad event brings to Us and to Our Family", and praying that "Providence may choose to preserve You from all occasion of grief", signed also by Antonio, Marchese di San Giuliano, (1852-1914, Foreign Minister 1910-1914), 1 side 13¾" x 9" black-edged and conjugate blank, San Rossare, 27th September two neat filing holes in blank margin
