Fine impression of the Queen's etching of her niece,
Princess ADELHEID (1835-1900, daughter of the Queen's elder half-sister Feodora, 1807-1872, née Princess of Leiningen, and Ernst, 1794-1860, from 1825 4th Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg), with initials V.R. and date etched in the image, showing her full length in profile seated on a rock, her left hand to her chin, feet crossed, the whole pose skilfully drawn giving her a thoughtful look, together with a contemporary engraved portrait of Princess Adelheid, at about the same age, half length, full face with a lovely smile and holding a rosebud, titled in English, 3½" x 2¾" oval in margins 7" x 5", the etching 6" x 4",

Fine Large Unsigned Pair of Portraits Engraved by D.J. Pound,
the former from a drawing by Pound, the latter from a photograph by Mayall, showing her standing three quarter length, full face, with an unaffected gaze, in a gorgeous silk off-the-shoulder dress edged with lace and fur, and wearing a jewelled circlet backed by a short white veil, pearls at neck and wrist, ribbons at the shoulders, with the letterpress account of her life to date, emphasizing her upbringing by the Queen away from stifling court protocol (which she was heartily to dislike in Prussia) and her amiable and unaffected manner, with stories from her early life and at Balmoral, the engraving of the Prince shows him seated, three quarter length, three quarter face with only a light moustache and beard, a firm but not unpleasing military gaze, in full dress including the Garter Star, holding on his right knee his plumed helmet bearing the Prussian eagle, each engraving 8½" x 6¾" in margins 15¾" x 11¾", from the Illustrated News of the World, together 8 sides (5 blank) 15¾" x 11¾", [London], no date but recently married on 25th January
