(Brigadier Arthur Valerian Wellesley, 8th Duke of Wellington, 1915-2014), styled Marquess of Douro between 1943 and 1972, senior British peer and a Brigadier) at the British Embassy in Madrid, thanking him for his letter and thanking him and "Diana for your good wishes & thoughts when I had to be in hospital. I do agree with you about Sister Agnes, and that remarkable character Mrs Saxby! She really is a marvellous woman, & that tiny frame contains a spirit worthy of Florence Nightingale! I was so interested in your comments on life in Spain, and I am sure that your experience there will be of tremendous value always.
