Lady Augusta Gordon-Lennox was the daughter of the 5th Duke of Richmond. She was created Countess von Dornburg on her marriage in 1851. Her husband, Prince Edward of Saxe-Weimar, 1823-1902, was a grandson of Goethe's patron Grand-Duke Karl August, later a general in the British Army and Colonel of the 1st Life Guards.
