FRASER (Sir John, 1760-1843, General)

Autograph Letter Signed to John Nesbitt sending as desired "Mr Arthur J. Fraser's letter which I hope will remove from your mind any doubts as to the legality of my Claim", requesting an answer to "Mitchelstown Co. Cork", Dublin, 5th September 1837, with on the conjugate leaf Arthur J. Fraser's letter to Nesbitt, confirming that Sir John "is the son of Capt. George Fraser late of the 54th Regt. and grandson of John Daniel Fraser brother to my father ... his mother Mary Fraser receives a pension as a Capts. widow", together 2 sides 4to., address on conjugate leaf with seal, 2 Florinda Place, N.C. Road, 5th September

Sir John lost his right leg at the siege of Gibraltar, 1780-1782, where he was judge-advocate 1796-1798.
