Autograph Letter Signed 'Fanny Stirling' to 'My dear Mr. Jackson', saying he has "only to give the enclosed card as you go in - tho', if there are Stalls to spare I would advise your taking them instead of a box ... this is a piece full of decoration & stage business & so on instead of acting. I am very lame indeed ... anything but 'Genial' too after acting & fear your friends would hate 'Mrs. Stirling' even more than Mrs. Stirling hates the 'Duchesse' but - we'll see", 4 sides, Duchess Street, Portland Place, W., no date, c. a little original smudging and offset

Mary Ann Kehl married the actor Edward Stirling or Lambert, 1809-1894, toured the provinces with great success, and came to the West End at the Adelphi. In 1894 she married Sir Charles Hutton Gregory.
