Jane Stoddart was on the staff of the British Weekly from 1890 to 1937. She wrote biographies historical (the Girlhood of Mary Queen of Scots) and modern (the Empress Eugénie, Dr. Robertson Nicoll, Lord Rosebery) and studies of the Bible in life and literature.
