In 1919 Cobham carried the amazing total of 5,000 passengers with the Civil Aviation Company. In 1920 - 1921 he pioneered aerial photography with the Aircraft Manufacturing Company and De Havilland Aircraft. He started the Spanish airline to Morocco, November 1921, flew Belgrade to London in one day, June 1922, London to Cape Town and back, and England to Australia and back, both in 1926. He pioneered re-fuelling in the air and introduced it to the U.S.A.F. in 1948.
