Miscellaneous collection of 7 printed items, comprising an engraved bill head (A. Meriton, 111 High Holborn, 1844), two spoof cheques, one on the 'Bank of Love' (c. 1870), the second advertising Augustus Harris' receipt of over £19,000 through the Carl Rosa Company (26th December 1882), a facsimile reprint of 'The Times' describing the Battle of the Nile, three hymns of intercession during the Boer War, a reprint (1921) of an attractive 8vo. sheet of London trade advertisements of c. 1840, and a Motor Fuel Ration Book, unused (c. 1970), v.d. 1844 - c. some items a little worn

It includes a spoof banknote issued by the 'Bank of Love' (c. 1870), origin unknown, the format mimics the design of the famous Bank of England "White Fiver" note - with its familiar helmeted Britannia - issued from 1793 to the 1950s.
