FARJEON (Joseph Jefferson, 1883-1955, Detective Novelist and Playwright)

Autograph picture postcard signed with initials to Eileen Cond, saying he is "Very glad to hear from you again, and of course I don't mind about Smith Minor's spelling! You may be right, though I find most people do like it (and they may be wrong!) ... The book before my last was 'The Third Victim' - not my best, though it has done very well. So sorry this is all about me! ... Good luck to your rabbits", with on verso a view of Cissbury from Salvington, Ditchling, Sussex, 25th July

Farjeon was an editor for Amalgamated Press, 1910-1920, and, besides his books, contributed to many journals, including 'Punch' as 'Smith Minor'.
