Goulburn was well-known for his 'Thoughts on Personal Religion'.
Webb was secretary of the Cambridge Camden Society and of its successor the London Ecclesiological Society, 1848-1863, which had great influence on the Gothic Revival. He edited the Church Quarterly Review, 1881-1885.
