Original Pen and Ink Sketch signed of 'Cornfield, Tywyn', with houses and stacked corn overlooking the sea, bearing a pencilled note 'Take this corner out' where another house appears in the bottom left margin, on the verso is a printed slip for "Thos. Gray & Co.'s Art Handbooks" filled in with the artist's name and address, and details of the oil picture to be exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, the sketch 3½" x 5" (with margins, 4½" x 6½"), no date, c.
