GIUSEPPINA TERESA (1753-1794, daughter of Duke Louis III of Lorraine, wife of Vittorio Amedeo II of Carignano)

I will take great pleasure in profiting from it", she is very vexed at missing him yesterday as she had been "running about all day", she is just leaving but is delighted "to find you here again", 1 side 8vo, no place, note on conjugate leaf in English 'The Princess of Carignan of the Royal Blood of the King of Sardinia was in London at that time', giving date 30th July torn at top left corner on opening seal with loss of two words (easily supplied)

The Carignanos descended from a 16thC Duke of Savoy. When the main line of Savoy failed in 1849, the Princess' grandson, Carlo Alberto, father of Vittorio Emanuele II, became King of Sardinia and Prince of Piedmont.
