Autograph letter signed, in German with translation, to Princess Charlotte of Prussia, (1860-1919, fiancée of his half-brother Bernard III, 1851-1928, Duke 1914-1918), sending birthday congratulations, saying that it "will be the last you will celebrate without Bernhard ... On his way to Marienbad he was easily persuaded to stop here ... now he will start his four weeks' 'cure'" which "is his revenge for your not letting him spend the winter in Dresden. On Saturday we too 'evaporate', first to Liebenstein", the spa town in Saxe-Meiningen, "to see Papa again, who was taken ill in Scotland", then Heligoland, and ending "do not forget Your loving brother", crowned 'E' at head, 4 sides 8vo., Hildburghausen, 23rd July
