Jenkins and Harold Chipp of the Cheltenham Gramophone Society, discussing the possibility of a lecture, 'the Music-lover as critic' (15th July 1943), "My Monday series 'What's the Music about' & 'Make your own Music' have been permanently altered to Tuesdays and that means that on Feb 15 I must ... broadcast with Irene Scharrer in the Schumann Piano Concerto" (26th January 1944), "Leave for outside engagements might be cancelled at the shortest notice in view of obvious eventualities" (31st January 1944), and suggesting Hubert Foss (who replaced him) (8th February 1944), "the autumn is going to be very hectic - if I survive the flying bomb!" (9th July 1944), mentioning clashes with his 'Music Magazine' and 'Music Calendar' (6th February 1945), and finally arranging to talk on " 'Contrasts' ...
