Typed Letter Signed when Bishop of Winchester to (later Canon) Samuel Bickersteth, (1857-1937) saying "I read your letter in the 'Guardian' with great interest" and wondering what information he can supply, "You no doubt have my book" on the first three Lambeth Conferences, "the subject has been taken up again and again ... Surely ... the Board of Missions was ... in some degree the kind of action you desire ... I am exceedingly glad that the whole matter is being ventilated", with an autograph postscript about a possible ambiguity in Bickersteth's letter, 2 sides 4to., Farnham Castle, 4th August tiny rust mark
