Farley, of Bath, thanking her "for your moving poem ... and the beautiful photograph, which reminded me a little of Peterborough, where my play was performed", sending details of "a new play coming on", of his autobiography, and of "my new book of poems, 'The Descent into the Cave' ... I've just finished my first novel - a terrible struggle! It is about the end of the world", at the top he adds "A lovely shaft of sunlight! Just made for standing in.
